Finding

The Way Forward

Welcome

Finding the way forward to a more meaningful life, one that includes the possibility of joy, often begins with finding a person who can listen empathically, who can help you to feel seen, heard, understood and truly cared for.

The path to therapy often begins with a sense that all is not well, there is a problem, whether it be in a relationship, with work, feeling too much sadness, anxiety or loneliness, maybe not feeling much at all, or simply feeling stuck in a place where one does not want to remain.

One’s current inner resources are not always enough to find the way though the challenges life puts in one’s way, and coping mechanisms developed early in life may no longer work well, or may now look like self-defeating patterns that are getting in the way of having a good life.

In therapy, we can create a collaborative relationship where together, with warmth, genuineness, hope and a careful but tender exploration of ideas and feelings, we can begin to ensure that what is valuable is kept, what is no longer working is replaced, what is important is respected, all with the purpose of creating a life of meaning, honoring the core self, and opening to playfulness and joy.
